Date, Time and Location of the Draft

 

The draft will be held in mid August. It will be held at Daniel's house. Directions, date and time will be worked out through email. Owners that are late to the draft will be entitled to their picks, but AFTER the completion of the draft. No shows will pick their entire rosters from remaining players. Therefore, punctuality will be extremely important.

 

 

Draft Order

 

All new coaches’ names will be drawn randomly for their draft order and will all pick BEFORE veteran coaches. The following rules will be used to determine veteran coaches drafting order. They will draft 1-12, after new coaches.

 

Guidelines for Determining Draft Order:

1. All coaches will be ranked 1-12.
2. The winner of the Fantasy Bowl will receive the last selection (number12).
3. The Fantasy Bowl runner-up will receive the next to last selection (number11).
4. Remaining teams are sorted by regular season record, with worse records picking first, 1-10.
5. For teams that have a tied record, the tie will be broken as follows:
a. A team that didn’t make it to the playoffs will always pick before a team that did.        
b. When two or more tied teams made it to the playoffs, their draft positions will be determined by the order they were eliminated from the playoffs. The first one eliminated, will receive the better draft position.        
c. If the tie is still not broken and for teams that didn't make the playoffs, head-to-head results will be used. This is who has the best record between the two coaches in games played against each other.        
d. If the tie is still not broken, then point differential for the entire season, including playoffs will be used.        
e. If the tie is still not broken, then most team yards for the season, including playoffs will be used.        
f. If the tie is still not broken, then a traditional flip of the coin will be done at the draft.

Rounds in the Draft

 

There will be 17 rounds in the draft. There will only be one of each player or team defense drafted. NO DUPLICATES ALLOWED. i.e. Coach A and Coach B cannot both have Andrew Luck on their rosters. A round in the draft will work just as it does in the NFL. All coaches will pick one player from the pool of available, eligible, players during their pre-determined turn and then the round ends.   

Supplemental Draft

 

All the $5 eligible players, that are not retained, will be placed into a pool of available players for new coaches only. Before the draft starts, new coaches may select up to three of these players. Any players taken would count as those coaches’s Fifth through Seventh round pick(s). The selected players would not require a $5 retention fee. All new coaches would select players in the order that they will pick during the draft. After all the coaches have finished selecting players, all remaining players will then go into the pool of available players for the draft.

 

Can't Make it to the Draft?

 

We have several options to accommodate any situation. We currently have a third of our league that don't live in Missouri. We Skype, Email, Text and call to make it happen.

 

Eligible Players

 

If a player is not available on Yahoo.com’s list of players, they are not eligible to be on a roster.
